Daniel 7 and the Ancient of Days
Who is the Ancient of Days? This question came in via email and I thought I would take a few minutes to create a video to share my thoughts on it. I would certainly appreciate some feed back from you. Daniel 7 is a challenging chapter to say the least and the context we’re dealing with in the video even puzzled Daniel. So I don’t feel badly about not knowing all there is to know about about it.
Some of the things to look for in this video are the distinctions made of the Coming of the Son of Man on the clouds of heaven, the description of the Ancient of Days and particularly, which part of the the chapter sheds the most light. I think that is a valid point that the vision must be considered by the interpretation the angel gives and not by what Daniel saw in the vision itself. Dreams often work like that as well – in that they are not always about what exactly was seen, but on what they are to mean. Thus providing an illustration for our focus until the symbolism is contemplated and understood (revealed?).
